Standards and regulation across our fundraising activities

North Yorkshire Hospice Care (the wider charity Saint Michael's Hospice is part of) is a member of the Fundraising Regulator, which is an independent self-regulatory organisation. As a member, we are committed to the highest standards in fundraising. We follow the Fundraising Regulators’ Code of Fundraising Practice. This code sets out in detail the standards for fundraising activity. It includes information about important principles and behaviours, and explains the standards for each different area of fundraising. In addition, our fundraising complies with our policies, values and with relevant UK laws and regulation, including those related to privacy.

We respect our supporters’ privacy and right to decide how and if we contact them. Only our team have direct access to our database, patient groups and beneficiaries. We do not sell or swap supporters details and do not share your details with any other charities or third parties for their own purposes. You can opt out of marketing communications from us at any time. More details around our approach to privacy and marketing communications can be found in our Supporter Information Notice.
