Pledge your legacy

Help hospice care live on for all, for now, forever.

Why your gift matters

Leaving a gift in your Will is one of the most powerful ways you can support Saint Michael’s Hospice.

Here at Saint Michael’s, we believe in creating special moments for families, both on our Inpatient Unit and in the comfort of people’s homes, that will create a legacy that lasts forever. We provide vital care and support to those living with terminal illness and bereavement, as well as helping people to truly spend their final days as they wish, surrounded by peace, support and with those they love.

Just as this incredible support would not exist without hospices across the UK, hospice care would not exist without you. A gift in your Will helps ensure care at the end of life is here for everyone who needs it, both now and in the future. It’s ours to protect.

Help hospice care live on for all, for now, forever. Pledge your legacy to Saint Michael’s Hospice.

Our Legacy Commitment to You

When you choose to leave a gift in your Will to Saint Michael’s Hospice, we promise to:

  • Use your gift wisely to support our vital work.
  • Respect your wishes if you would like your gift to be used for a specific purpose.
  • Recognise that your loved ones come first.
  • Understand that your circumstances may change, and you may need to amend your Will.
  • Never pressure you into leaving a gift, your decision is yours completely.
  • Treat you and your loved ones with sensitivity, respect, and deep gratitude.
Our Legacy Charter for Executors, Family, and Friends

We know and understand that someone close to you dying is a difficult and emotional time. We promise to handle their generous gift with care and sensitivity.

  • We are always grateful for gifts left to us and would love the opportunity to thank the next of kin personally. If any family members would like to visit us, we would warmly welcome them and would like to provide our legators family’s with a keep sake within the hospice grounds.
  • As a registered charity, we have a legal duty to ensure gifts are received appropriately. In the case of larger assets, such as property included in a residuary gift, we may need to obtain an independent valuation before sale. We will always manage this process fairly and sensitively.
  • If an executor or family member would like more information about our work, we are happy to provide it promptly.
