World Health Day: our vision of care for people living with terminal illness

Today marks World Heath Day, and we're reflecting on our mission to ensure people in our community receive the care the want, need and deserve.

Today marks World Heath Day, where communities across the globe are reflecting on what it means for all people to have good health when and where they need it without financial hardship.

Over 30 years ago, Saint Michael’s Hospice grew from the dedication and passion of the community of the Harrogate district, who were concerned that local people with terminal illness were living and dying in pain and without the respect and dignity they deserved.

Today, with that same care for the people around us, our community of action exists so that people can access the right support at the right time, and not be left to face the complex challenges of living with terminal illness and bereavement alone.

Find out more about our strategy for delivering our care across our family of services, and how you can help us on our mission.
