Thank you carers

In conjunction with the Bettys & Taylors Group, Saint Michael’s is taking the opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to carers during Carers week.

Thanks to the generosity of Bettys, we will be giving over 90 ‘thank you’ gifts to carers who access our support and services and those of our community partners.

Carers Week, which runs from 6^th to 12^th June, highlights the contribution unpaid carers make to families and in their communities.  In the UK, over 6.5 million people now have some form of caring responsibility.

At Saint Michael’s Hospice, we recognise, value and support the vital role these carers play within our community and also amongst the wider agencies and voluntary organisations whom we work with.

We provide a range of services for carers and their families, allowing local people to access the right support, at the right time and in the right place.

Amongst these services is our Share & Support Group, which offers people living with terminal illness, their families and carers the opportunity to come together to provide each other with social and emotional support in a warm and welcoming café style environment.
