Stars to remember Her Majesty and those whose memories never leave us

Our shops are at the heart of our communities, and following the sad news of the death of Her Royal Highness, our teams are working hard to continue to offer a warm, welcoming and sensitive environment for people who may be affected by grief.

If you wish, on the days surrounding Her Majesty’s State Funeral, you are welcome to come in and write your own special message on a star which we will include in our community displays with your kind permission. This may be to remember the Queen, or someone special who you are thinking of at this time.

Taking part is absolutely free. We are here for you as your local hospice and bereavement support charity, and hope our stars help bring comfort and express any emotions you may be feeling at the current time.

Please note, all of our Saint Michael’s shops will be closed on Monday September 19 as a mark of respect. You are welcome to visit our shops this Saturday, and our Ripon shop will also be open on Sunday 10am to 2pm. Our shops will be open again on Tuesday.

We understand that times of mourning can affect us all in different ways. We are here to support members of our community who wish to talk or are experiencing grief, loneliness or anxiety.
