Saint Michael’s Chief Executive Tony Collins responds to Government funding boost

Following yesterday’s Government announcement on a funding package for UK independent hospices, our Chief Executive Tony Collins responds:

“Yesterday’s announcement from the Government of a £100m funding package for hospices over the next two years is great news.

“We warmly welcome this investment into our sector from the Government, providing a much-needed cash injection, but also recognition of the vital care hospices provide.

“We have been heard and responded to and the listening does not stop there. This level of investment also provides a key step in moving all hospice care to a fairer and sustainable level of funding, and we look forward to that conversation and action continuing next year.”
