Fancy turning an old item of furniture into a stylish centrepiece for your home? Join us on Wednesday May 10 at 10am in our Saint Michael’s House&Home shop for an upcycling demo with local artist, Sarah Charneca.
Sarah will inspire us by demonstrating techniques such as decoupage, gold leaf and collage on a preloved donated item in store. After watching her work her magic, you’ll be able to ask her your burning questions on upcycling your own items.
While you’re with us, explore our store and scout out your next upcycling project with Sarah on hand to advise on techniques. A sustainable, fun and personalised way to style your home!
Sarah Charneca studied Conservation of Fine Art specialising in oil paintings restoration and has taught art from her studio in Harrogate for over eight years, providing classes for all age ranges and abilities. Sarah has a particular interest in interiors, painted furniture and the use of colour to create atmosphere.
Every pound raised for the sale of preloved furniture and homeware in our shop supports Saint Michael’s Hospice, who provide vital care for local people living with terminal illness and bereavement.
Please note, we will be taking photos and videos during the session to share in our future Saint Michael’s promotions. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let our team know who will be wearing staff lanyards.
