Making a Will gives you the opportunity to protect the people and things which matter most at key stages in your life. The initiative sees participating local solicitors kindly waive their legal fees for writing or updating a basic Will, which can cost between £200-£350. Instead, you are invited to make a donation to support Saint Michael’s care in your community.
You stay in control
A Will ensures your money, property and possessions go to the people and causes you choose. Without one, the law decides who inherits your estate and that may not reflect your wishes.
You protect the people you love
A Will lets you give security to loved ones. It can also help reduce stress and uncertainty for your family at an already difficult time.
You can leave a lasting legacy
A Will gives you the opportunity to support a cause close to your heart, such as Saint Michael’s. Even leaving just 1% of your estate can make a meaningful difference to future generations.
Find out more about making a Will: Read our helpful FAQs on why having a Will and appropriate estate planning is important. Your gift can make a difference for years to come: Did you know, 1 in 3 of our patients is cared for thanks to a gift left in a Will. Once you have taken care of your family and friends in your Will, consider leaving a gift to Saint Michael’s to ensure future generations will have access to our services. Even a gift of 1% of your estate once you have provided for your loved ones will help us make sure our hospice is there for everyone who needs it.
