Saint Michael’s offers specialist care to people with terminal illness across the Harrogate District. We are proud to have developed expertise to support people living with complex and multiple conditions, and our services complement and collaborate with the care and support provided by other organisations. Our aim is to work together with professionals across our district and beyond to ensure everyone affected by terminal illness gets the right care at the right time.
Saint Michael’s supports people affected by any terminal illness, including chronic heart failure, chronic lung disease and neurological diseases, such as motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease, as well as cancer.
Our dedicated emotional wellbeing and bereavement support service, Just ‘B’, offers a range of face to face and telephone-based support locally, regionally and nationally.
Saint Michael’s works together with other professionals and organisations to share our experience and expertise in end of life care, emotional wellbeing and bereavement. We offer advice, support and training. This approach to collaboration helps local people to access quality, joined-up care and support, as well as helping community colleagues to increase their impact, confidence and career opportunities.
Saint Michael's welcomes referrals from health and social care professionals across our community.
Learning is at the heart of our vision to ensure everybody across our community receives the care they need to live their last days, weeks and months with respect and dignity. As specialists in our areas, we are proud to share the skills and expertise that we have acquired over 30 years of caring for people living with terminal illness and bereavement.
