Share & Support

A welcoming space for patients, families and carers

Share and Support paused for review

We continually evaluate our services to improve and develop them. Share and Support is currently on hold while we review its format and gather feedback from our community and our partnering organisations.

If you have any thoughts on how Share and Support could benefit your patients, please email wellbeing@saintmichaelshospice.org.

A relaxed space for peer support with professional guidance

Please note, this information is subject to change following developments to the service.

The Saint Michael’s Share & Support group offers people living with terminal illness, their families and carers the opportunity to come together to provide each other with social and emotional support, in a social, café-style environment.

Supported by our specialist wellbeing team, a variety of support is offered, from practical to emotional, as well as signposting to other services which may be of value to patients, their families and carers.

People can be offered up to 12 sessions. We’ll then review each person’s individual needs and work together to ensure people have the right support, at the right time by sharing information about our range or services and other local services which may be of value to them, their families and carers.

Saint Michael’s Share & Support group is open to any patient who is living with a terminal illness, aged 18 or over, as well as their families and carers, living within the Harrogate District.

Referrals can be made by completing a referral form, which can be obtained from: wellbeing@saintmichaelshospice.org
