Description

Challenge yourself and climb for hospice care!

Take on our Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge as a tribute to someone special or as a personal goal. This is your chance to experience an incredible challenge for hospice care.

This year, we have two registration options: fundraising and self-funding – and an early bird offer for those who choose to fundraise!

Fundraising

If you’d like to choose the fundraising option, you’ll pay a registration fee of £30* (early bird offer) and should aim to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.

*After 31st March 2023, the cost of registration will return to £40 per person.

We encourage you to head to our JustGiving campaign to set up your fundraising page.

Self funded:

If you’d prefer to self-fund this challenge, you’ll pay a registration fee of £40 and make a donation of either £40, £50 or £60 to Saint Michael’s instead. There will be no minimum sponsorship ask for this option, and you won’t be required to fundraise. You can, of course, still raise sponsorship if you wish!

There is also a specific discount for teams of 10 or more wanting to fundraise, with registration reduced to £20 per person.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge:

Climbing the famous Yorkshire three peaks, you will start with a leg-loosener for three miles up the shape of Ingleborough, then gaining height and taking upwards and across the Dales on to Morecambe Bay and the Lakes.

Then you will begin on to the second ascent – Whernside. As you descend, you will be able to see Ribblehead Viaduct and this is the halfway milestone before heading down the path towards the final peak of Pen-y-Ghent. You’ll then descend back to Horton-in-Ribblesdale, your starting place.

Our Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge is organised via Large Outdoors, who will provide fully trained guides and first aiders on the day.

You will be in a team with other Saint Michael’s walkers who will keep your spurred on!

We will provide a fundraising pack for all walkers, which will include a kit list, FAQs and an itinerary.

As well as this, we’ll provide treats and refreshments along the route to keep you going strong!
