North Yorkshire Hospice Care – Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2026 Charity VIP Place Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to your participation in the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2026 using a North Yorkshire Hospice Care Charity Place. North Yorkshire Hospice Care comprises of Saint Michael’s Hospice, Herriot Hospice Homecare and Just ‘B’.
This is an agreement between you and North Yorkshire Hospice Care. By confirming your place, you agree to the terms and conditions. You will not be able to register for one of our charity places unless you tick the box to confirm you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Terms & Conditions
1. Eligibility
o I confirm that I will be over the age of 18 on the day of the event, Sunday 26 April 2026.
2. Health & Safety
o I acknowledge that I take part in the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2026 at my own risk.
o It is my responsibility to undertake appropriate training and to seek and follow medical advice in relation to my participation.
3. Registration Fee
o I agree to pay a non-refundable registration fee of £30 to secure my charity place.
o I understand this fee does not contribute towards my fundraising target.
4. Fundraising Commitment
o I agree to use my best endeavours to raise funds for North Yorkshire Hospice Care in connection with my participation in the event.
o I commit to raising a minimum sponsorship pledge of £300.
o I confirm that I will raise at least 50% of this minimum target one month prior to the event date.
5. Sponsorship & Gift Aid
o I will ask all sponsors (unless they donate via my online fundraising page) to complete a sponsorship form that includes the option to add Gift Aid.
o I understand that only sponsorship forms provided or approved by North Yorkshire Hospice Care may be used.
o I understand that Gift Aid does not count towards my fundraising target.
o I acknowledge that sponsorship donations are given by way of donation and are generally non-refundable, even if I withdraw from or do not take part in the event, and I will make my sponsors aware of this.
6. Post-Event Sponsorship
o I understand that sponsorship monies must be collected and submitted within four weeks of the event.
o If I am unable to meet this deadline, I will inform North Yorkshire Hospice Care before the four-week period has passed and forward any funds already raised.
7. Withdrawal or Deferral
o I will inform North Yorkshire Hospice Care immediately if anything happens that may prevent my participation.
o If I withdraw from the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2026, I may have the option to defer for one year only, subject to the discretion of North Yorkshire Hospice Care.
o To be eligible for deferral, I must have raised at least £300 in sponsorship.
8. Liability
o I understand that North Yorkshire Hospice Care cannot accept responsibility for any injury, loss, or damage to property incurred during my participation in the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2026.
9. Photography & Media
o I understand that during the event, official photographers acting on behalf of North Yorkshire Hospice Care may capture my image for use in future promotional materials and/or social media.
o I understand that I have the right to withdraw consent by contacting the North Yorkshire Hospice Care Fundraising team directly.
10. Acceptance
• I confirm that I have read, understood and agree to all of the above Terms and Conditions.
