REGISTER YOUR INTEREST FOR 2025!

If you’re interested in running for Saint Michael’s in 2025 and would like to join our waitlist to hear if any places become available, please get in touch by completing the form at the bottom of this page.

Any places will be offered on a first come, first served basis, but we cannot guarantee if or when a place will become available.

About the event

The Great North Run is the world’s biggest half marathon, with over 57,000 people taking part every year. Famous for its warm North East welcome and electric atmosphere, this event is not to be missed! The route takes you through Newcastle, over the iconic Tyne Bridge and on to the finish line in the picturesque coastal town of South Shields, where our team will be waiting to congratulate you after you cross the finish line.

By taking on this challenge and raising £300, you could help fund 8.5 hours of care for a patient staying at our Crimple House Inpatient Unit, enabling our team to provide expert support with symptoms and helping to bring comfort at the end of their life.

• Access to the North Yorkshire Hospice Care marquee in the Charity Village, where you will be greeted by our supportive fundraising team and lots of snacks to keep you going!

• All participants will also receive a Great North Run-branded medal and optional t-shirt upon completion of the run

Most importantly, you will be helping to support local people when they need us at the most difficult of times.
